Day Trippin', a curated exhibition by Fred Fleisher Cosmic Projects, features the following artists: Mark Andrew, Chris Bors, Michael Capobianco, Kim Darling, Marguerite Day, Mike Estabrook, Fred Fleisher, Vandana Jain, Brian Leo, Mary Mattingly, Mark McKinney, Tricia McLaughlin, Timothy Mutzel, William Stamos, Jeremiah Teipen, and Lee Wells.
Mark McKinney has four paintings in the exhibition, as seen in the first slide, clockwise from top left: "Double Vision" (2023); "Weekend Warrior" (2022); "Machine Learning Cult Mask" (2024); and "Machine Learning Cult Member #8" (2025).
Press Release: Fred Fleisher Cosmic Projects presents Day Trippin', which brings together a vibrant mix of 16 artists, each offering a window into a unique moment in time. These moments pull us inward, spark reflection, and then expand outward - opening up new ways of seeing and feeling. A moment becomes a day, and the day keeps unfolding as we move through it.
The works in this exhibition explore our sense of separateness - a deeply human experience. Yet whether we zoom in or step back, something more connected, even cosmic, begins to reveal itself.
As the Shvetashvatara Upanishad reminds us: "The individual self goes round and round ... believing itself to be a separate creature ... until it sees its identity with the Lord of Love and attains immortality in the indivisible whole."
